It's 3am and I couldn't sleep so I came on FML to kill a bit of time. Now I've read this I guess any prospects of sleep are now definitely gone.
The grease from your hand plus the fog on the mirror can cause the handprint to appear shrunken. No need to worry
Doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't yours. Maybe the room fogged up some more or something. The hand prints from fog on mirrors are never the same after a few minutes.

You need to invest in some cameras and an alarm system ASAP!
It could have been there from another time people visited. If someone's hand left grease or dirt on the mirror then its much harder for condensation to form on it, hence, the print. I doubt that you're being haunted OP.
