Today, I apologised to someone for my misuse of the word 'coloured' in a discussion about ethnic minority issues. They then got even more angry and said that to even quote the word in the context of an apology is evidence of my ignorance and inherent racism. FML

People who get offended by the use of the word coloured, are just being ridiculous. I live in SA and that's what anyone who is mixed race calls themselves. To us that is a race.

If there is one thing you need to know to survive in this ****** up world, it's that anyone that isn't white is a 'victim'. Everything you say for the rest of your life will be considered 'racist'. If I made a false assumption and you are NOT white, then idk what the **** is happening.

Yeah, never apologise for that kind of thing. People who get offended in that context will never accept any apology you'll offer, and will continue to be outraged at you even if you were to debase yourself to the point of groveling on the floor. Apologising to SocJus types is like throwing baitfish into a school of sharks.
