Today, I arrived 10 minutes early to my orthodontist's office to get my braces off. It turns out my appointment was actually one hour earlier, and now the next available appointment is in four weeks. FML

Hey, feel lucky. My boyfriend had braces on for 2 years, got them off, felt great, but then the dentist realized he F-ed up something small and my boyfriend has had braces for a year since then and is nowhere near getting them off... :/

You probably should have called to make sure when your appointment was.

I always enter appointments in my cellphone calendar and put the reminder for a day and hour ahead of time, maybe you should do the same.

Your suppose to get a call the day before confirming the appointment and if you don't get that call by like 3pm I usually call.

One time I was literally just 1 minute late for my flight from a private airport, and they refused to let me board. I had to wait 9 hours for the next flight... I feel your pain.
