If you crushed it on the PSAT, you can get scholarships, just might take a little more work in applying for them. Have a meeting with your school's college counselor.
The forum/letter didn't say what it was for? That seems like a case of laziness or everyone got the same letter
Hey, depending on how well you did, you might still be eligible for National Merit! I got that in high school and the application itself wasn't hard, you just have to get a comparatively good score on the SAT and write a few short essays. The hard part is getting a good enough PSAT score to even be considered.
I skipped my graduation and got an award I was not aware I was getting, I told them I wasn't coming and apparently they still called my name several times lol, still got the scholarship money though
being from a different country, what is a PSAT?
here's a link explaining http:// www.edonline.com/collegecompass/psat.htm
Preliminary SAT, it's like a practice version of the SAT
Same thing happened to me, but instead of a certificate, they gave me a white cord and a handshake. I would have rather not attended the event at all Lol
You might've been awarded national merit scholar which happens to be rare and very impressive and will get you many scholarships from around the country.
And I thought the PSAT didn't mean much

I guess your family members PSAT through it for nothing.
Geez. Thy could have warned you what award you were getting beforehand! But hey, I hope your parents were proud of you though. You did accomplish something that some people (like me) have a hard time trying to pass.
