You know... it's sad that people can be oblivious to these things. Your mom may not have noticed or possibly didn't take you seriously. That would seem a lot better than her ignoring you... that's just horrible. I choked on a french fry before :|, while having lunch with friends.... no one tried helping me, they thought I was joking and looked at me with confusion.
Choke her.
Same thing happened to me. I was taking one of those pills that are supposed to dissolve in the water and I drank the water and it was still there. I was choking and my mom said "What the hell is wrong with you? Kids are so weird." It wasn't until I started pounding my own chest did she notice......
Who the hell chokes on pills YDI for being retarded
who was phone?
@106 You must have SOME free time comming to FML ehh? :P @ Thoes who still dont understand that NOISE =ANYTHING doesnt HAVE to be gaging noises To OP: That really sucks, id bitch and complain to her that she isnt a good mother >_>
I empathise with you a hundred times over. Examples: a) When sitting at a small table with mother, father, brother and sister, I began to choke on my food in an almost deserted restaurant. When I can't breathe at all, start spluttering, trying to save myself, and trying to get their attention, they magically don't notice. I had to pull the food out of my own throat. They still didn't notice. b) I once had a severe asthma attack in my own garden. My inhaler was in my room and my siblings were there with me. I collapsed, then somehow managed to get enough air to stay conscious yet not be able to move. My siblings notice, but my brother goes in to watch TV. My sister gives me a lecture about how *I* am cold hearted (I had serious self-esteem issues at the time) before joining him. Later, after it eventually eases up a little and I manage to drag myself in and get the inhaler myself, I tell my mother what happened, she tells me they did the right thing because she was on the phone. And that's just the tip of the iceberg...

Shoulda played dead for a while
I'm going to assume that by "making a lot of noise," you meant banging on stuff and maybe throwing something, because if you were vocalizing, you weren't really choking. But still, I know how scary that feeling is, and it sucks your mom was a bitch about it.
