my hands crack and bleed from soaps and other things. I don't know if it is eczema, but it definitely looks and feels like a chemical burn...soooo..
Vinyl gloves!! Never latex!
Try buying nitrile gloves instead of rubber latex.
I agree!!! I use nitrile gloves b/c of various skin conditions, it's called research- I did it before I decided which gloves to use since I KNEW I had problems and there is SO much neg info on latex- I thought everyone knew
exactly right. as a medical assistant, I use latex typically because I like the elasticity but some patients have allergies and I wear nitrile gloves with them.
Your hands are probably not your only body part you should keep latex away from.
They do make non-latex condoms for people who are allergic to latex. Unfortunately they're a tad on the expensive side.
Ive had it for 26 years and you find out new things about it everyday. Some of the gloves Ive tried have the powder which kills my skin, but latex is fine. Lot of soaps and perfumes bother it. When I was a kid it was so bad that someone wearing strong perfume could make me itch. The dermatologist said dont take hot showers....which is hard. My sweat makes it bad sometimes...it just sucks. The thing is everyone is diff and you just have to try things out. Im also allergic to the glue in band-aids....that makes me itch more than eczema.
Why is everyone that's being nice and helping getting negative thumbs? But I do feel bad for you my sister is allergic to Alot of things also and I think she has that allergy to but the only way she found out was from trial and error..
Looks like it's back to de-pooping shrimp for you. That's a job that must be done bare-handed. Hopefully, you can get over the awkwardness of handing a constipated shrimp a tiny magazine to read while you massage its asshole.
I understand how much that hurts... my friend has horrible eczima everwhere on her bod and it's painful for her to do a lot, even swiming with the chlorine. You should ask a doctor what kind of gloves they recommend for you.

I now know how to spell "eczema" Thanks OP!
Rubber is horrible for eczema. When I used to do the dishes I tried to wear rubber gloves because my eczema would cause the dish soap to crack my hands and make them bleed. But using the gloves instead just caused them to puff up and itch like hell, along with the pain from the eczema. I fell your pain. :( Try getting some cetaphil cream (think that is how its spelled). That is one of the few lotions I can use to help that I don't have an allergic reaction to.
