haha that basically happened to me. i was the one that ended up needing the tissues.
That's bad that she isn't oblivious and obviously doesn't care what your type is? If she's known then she apparently has no problem.
It depends on how she said it. It could've been in a derogatory tone, indicating that she's not OK with it even though she did already know. That's not a good situation, though it's probably not as bad as a parent who completely won't accept the reality of the situation.
If your mom didn't say it in a bad way, then you've got an awesome mom.
Whoa. Kick ass mom you got there. lol. At least it turned out okay.
This is quite a common story. One of my friends tried to come out to me in high school. I'd known he was gay from the first moment I met him. He was the first guy to never stare at my boobs. I'm sure your mom noticed you'd never had any interest in girls as well.
That's exactly how one of my female friends knew I was :P
fag
93 thats what i said but then i got 'moderated' whatever that means.

Well I guess sometimes when you feel a certain way, you fear that others won't accept you. However, sometimes it's just obvious that someone you know is gay, so perhaps she just meant "duh" as a way to say she knew all along. Don't stress it. You said it, and it sounds like you were torn apart between your mother accepting you or not. Whether or not she accepts you, you said what you needed to say, and you no longer need to think about it.
Did she say duh in a bad way or did she accept you? Sounds to me like she knew and doesn't care. Def. not a FML situation, more like a Awesome Accepting Mom situation, if she does that is.
