Today, I decided to fix my bike and take it for a test ride. Five minutes in, a bee flew into my eye and stung me. In pain, I thought it would be best to go home. I turned around to find a big pitbull running towards me. The dog chased me for a mile before giving up. FML
I agree, your life sucks 35 525
You deserved it 3 536

unojo08 tells us more.

Thank you for your opinion, but I never said that I was attacked by the dog, I just said that I had been chased by him. I live in a part of town where its a little bit ghetto, and I didn't want to take the chance that the dog may or not be friendly, seeing as how it was chasing me. For your further information, my sister has a pit bull and it is a very loving dog that wouldnt hurt a fly. So before you cast judgement on someone for telling it how it is, please get your facts straight.

...At least you survived the bee sting and you didn't get eaten by the pitbull so you could post it on FML! :D By the way... ._. Mother Nature called... She wants you dead. >:D

Maybe the dog did have a reason to attack, it might've though OP was trespassing on its territory. You weren't there with the OP, so you can't say the dog wasn't being agressive. Honestly, people like you who think "All pitbulls are the greatest dogs EVER and never hurt ANYONE" are just as ignorant as the people who think all pitbulls are bloodthirsty monsters. Both are just generalizations that aren't necessarily true.

Wow.. I can not at all believe the ignorance of people like you. Pitbulls do NOT attack people for no reason. JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER DOG. People like me have been fighting against people like you for as long as i remember.. you some how have it in your peanut sized brain that pitbulls are a harmful animal, when in reality they are the most loving animals out there. People get attacked by other dogs MORE then they do pitbulls. The ONLY reason in the ENTIRE world that makes a pitbull nasty is their owners. They force these poor animals to fight other pitbulls and they DONT get fed and they get hurt by the owner if they do not. Not only that, but just as all dogs do, they obey their owner. So its the OWNERS fault. not the dog. So before you make up a stupid fml like this, maybe you should do a little research on the bread or dog or person you are attacking first. AND STOP GIVING THE PITBULL A BAD NAME! They need more help then what they recieve and because of dumb people like you, other people are too afraid to help. I have worked with pitbulls my whole like, and never ONCE have i been attacked by one.

yea well thts all good and stuff but op wasn't attacked, he was chased, like all dogs pitbulls can chase can't they, hell my Jack Russell chases. any dog is dangerous if not properly trained, and whose to say that this pitbull wasn't pissed. I get tht not all pits are the same and tht includes the fact that all pits are nit nice for whatever reason. so dont get in a tiff about "ppl like op", what ppl? ppl tht get chased by dogs whilst riding a bike??

yes, because you have never been attacked that means that they are all little darlings

Thank you for defending me, your point of view actually makes sense, unlike most comments on the interwebs.

actually, i dont think that all pits are harmless and will never hurt anybody.. i work with them for a living. they get extremely terretorial and violent if they were abused through out their lives. Just like any other dog. My point is that enough people already are afraid of pits.. and teach their children to be afraid of them because of what they hear about them. Its my job to stop people from just assuming all are bad, and to realize that ANY dog out there can act the exact same way. Honestly, its the medias fault for only showing pit attacks instead of showing other dog attacks.. there are plenty other dog attacks out there by other kinds of dogs. And this isnt necessarily attack on the kid who wrote this, but there are people who read this forum who dont read the comments and see chased by pitbulls and think.. ohh.. see.. they are bad dogs.. instead, the person writing this could have stated that he was simply chased by a dog to generalize it. And if you own pitbulls then you would know the tension that many many people have TOWARDS pitbulls, and you would be annoyed by this too. And i am not ignorant and think they are all great dogs, but, givin the circumstance of there history and what i have seen in the kennels and how i have seen a harmful nasty pitbull turned around to a sweet loving dog.. just by training with the dog and giving him some love, then yes.. i think it should be known that pitbulls can be GREAT pets.

pitbulls are such sweeties. I'm laying with mine, right now (: they are so peaceful. they deserve love, not rejection and hate and fear. they just need looooove (:

thank you for saying this!!!! I love the breed and I was brought up with them, pit bulls are such lovely dogs (personally it's Rottweilers I would be worried about) I wish I could own one but they are a band breed in my country. all dogs are dangerous, even little ones! it's how they are raised that makes the difference and I hate ignorant people like the op that makes crap like this up with no idea about anything!!!

Saying he was chased by a pit bull isn't a bad thing. Why should he generalize it? Being chased by "a dog" isn't nearly as scary as being chased by a pit. I have a pit, I know they get a bad rep, but it's not this guy's responsibility to fix that. It's through good dog ownership and organizations (like the one you work for, maybe) that pits will get their good name back.

my rule of thumb is all dogs are mean until I meet them with their owner present regardless of breed.

mabye it wasn't a pitbull you dumb ****

was it snowing n all up hill with no shoes?

that sucks about the bee, but you shouldve known that you DONT run from dogs! if you were standing still and not looking at it, it should recognize that you're not a threat and leave you alone. running away just brings out their hunter instincts and they're not likely to give up the chase

#74: the op was already moving. >.< i personally had an episode when i was running, and a small dog began to chase me. after a little while, i turned and faced it, and it backed off, but it depends on the dog. some will just proceed to chew on your face. |the kid|

Very, very stupid advice. Challenging an already dominant or aggressive dog is not smart. If he had continued about his way, he could've been attacked.

I bet you're the same guy from the fml where he bougt a brand new bike and the chain snapped
