Today, I drove two and a half hours to a job interview. The interviewer never showed up or called. I sat in the hotel lobby waiting for an hour and a half. Even the hotel staff said they felt sorry for me. FML

Reminds me of what happened a few months ago. I got called down to my 1st job interview, and was exited about getting my 1st job. Whene I got to the fruit market, my employer wasnt there. Turns out she was at home and forgot about the interview and she rescheduled it for a week later and she said she'd call when she wanted me to come in for the interview. a week and a half passes and no call. I call in. She hired someone else and forgot about the 2nd interview....again.

#20: Jobs aren't easy to come by these days. Good for them that they're willing to commute 5 hours (or relocate if they got the job) instead of freeloading.

There are many fake job offers out there for "marketing firms" etc. This kid possibly was one of the many too stupid to realize.

yeah in this market, if you get an interview its a good thing, relocating might be required, but it will keep a roof over your head.

and you didn't calll this guy after 15 minutes, why? YDI

#6 and #14, some people just put YDI for anything

OP and #12 aww that sucks. But then again you probably wouldn't want to work under someone who forget's important things like that so easily or just doesn't care. @ #8; I've been in a job interview at a restaurant which wasn't connected the job, but even then the interviewer's had told the bartender what they were doing, so he guided all the lost sheep to the right table (including me lol). The job was for a snack stand at different music festival through out the summer, including the biggest ones. I didn't get the job, but I told about it to my cousin too and she didn't even show up to the interview. Guess which one got the job? FML too.

#20 perhaps thats just the interview location - lots of highend job interviews can take place at neutral locations. If it was the actual office OP could just walk in and talk to someone. OP should have called though. That was kinda stupid of you.

Did you have the right date & time? It's a good thing nonetheless, you don't wanna be working for a fly-by-night!
