Today, I drove two and a half hours to a job interview. The interviewer never showed up or called. I sat in the hotel lobby waiting for an hour and a half. Even the hotel staff said they felt sorry for me. FML

Reminds me of what happened a few months ago. I got called down to my 1st job interview, and was exited about getting my 1st job. Whene I got to the fruit market, my employer wasnt there. Turns out she was at home and forgot about the interview and she rescheduled it for a week later and she said she'd call when she wanted me to come in for the interview. a week and a half passes and no call. I call in. She hired someone else and forgot about the 2nd interview....again.

Might want to research it a little more next time.

That really sucks, but you also should have called the interviewer to see why they weren't there. I think that's one reason people are saying YDI - it's why I clicked it, but I also hit YLIF because it really sucks.

dang!!!!!! id b so. pissed off but srry bout that

You are LUCKY, it's getting to be a common scam- You have and "Interview" 2+ hours away, they don't show, with the round trip and the wait for the Non-interview you are gone 7+ hours from home, and when you return Your house/apt has been cleaned out. Note, call the day BEFORE your interview to confirm everything.

This happened at MY hotel!! I just showed this to all the front desk staff, and they think they may have been talking about this one

I'd honestly suggest giving up on the job. Also, you may consider writing to the Better Business Bureau. Sorry this happened!

#15: Okay, maybe that is where the hotel is located. Maybe they went to work AT a hotel, or the business is run out of a home. People do that, you know. And YDI for not checking? Maybe they did, hell a lot of things can happen in a matter of 3+ hours. #20: Oh, come ON! I'm freaking fourteen, and I realize that we are in a recession. I'm giving my WHOLE summer up to babysit to help pay the bills. Do you live under a rock, a job is a job. #25: Maybe the OP did, and he said he was on his way. OP: Man does that suck, just keep looking. Get your name in circulation and you will get something. Just keep looking, even looking for nanny positions or something. Part time, I know but seriously a job IS a job.

How unprofessional on the interviewer's part, unless something happened to him/her. Hope not. :O Sorry about that, though! Good luck job-hunting! :)

Maybe it wasn't meant to be. That sucks, though. Don't lose hope, you'll find something great! :)
