Today, I found a gift card under my bed that I lost a few months ago for $400 to a store that went out of business last week. FML

if someone gave me a $400 gift card, I would have been out shopping as soon as they left. What was your plan here?

that sucks, but ydi for not treating it like $400

if you still have the gift card you can take it to your State Department of Finance and they will give you the cash back. When stores close they have to give the department a list of all outstanding gift cards and their values. Since someone gave the company money and you have a card worth that amount of money you are a unsecured debt holder to the company. Therefore the company owes you the value of your gift card. I got $250 from when Sharper Image closed here from the State.

So only women receive gifts? Why wouldn't a guy have a $400 gift card? I don't understand your reasoning.

Was it a chain? If they aren't I'd try to sell it on the street to an idiot (People would kill for it if you tried to sell it for like 200)

Who the **** get's 400 dollar gift cards?
