Today, I found an old dress in my house laying around. I decided to dye it green to wear it out on St. Patrick's day. Turns out it was my grandmother's wedding dress that my sister was planning to wear for her wedding. FML

If you found a dress in the house that you didn't recognize, why would you just take it? Didn't you assume it belonged to someone who had their own plans for it?

Why would your first thought be St. Patrick's Day?

Don't take things that don't belong to you!

To be fair, in the olden days some wedding dresses were more "plain" than our ideal one today. What a thing to do to an heirloom! Course, my mom sold HER dress to a fabric collector that makes clothing for Barbie dolls....

How the **** can you not know that an old dress is your own house is your grandmoter's wedding dress? And how the **** can you not know that your sister was planning on wearing it for her wedding day? Do you even talk to anyone in your family? Ever??

YDI for being a total ass. It wasn't yours, so what right did you have to take it, especially to make an irreversible change. You took something incredibly sentimental and precious, and ruined it for what? A night of barhopping? That dress survived for generations, to be destroyed by a brat.
