Just to answer a few questions... He's 18. I'm almost certain it was about the sex- I don't mind when I'm light, but at the start the cramps are unbearable, so no sex, not oral either. And he's just ignorant- he's actually a very intelligent person. This is the OP btw, not sure if the name will come up the same.

Yes, believe it or not it can happen. I empathize with you, OP, about the cramps. Before I went on the pill, I got cramps so bad that it would make me sick. Couldn't eat, hurt to do anything and painkillers would not stop the cramping. My boyfriend didn't seem to have a problem taking care of me while I felt like total shit and understood that he'd get his ******* when I wasn't puking and taking six Midol to stop feeling so bad. As for everyone saying that they're horny on their period or whatever, yeah, so am I. Doesn't mean I really want to have sex while I'm bleeding like crazy. Light days and in the shower.

I feel both of your pain. Before I got my IUD I couldn't move for two days out of every month, and I had to have a super tampon+overnight pads because my flow was that heavy from day 1, even while on the pill. I had a guy break up with me over it
