sulitak tells us more.
1. It did take work to get pregnant. 2. I put in for my leave as soon as I found out. It has been on the schedule for 5 months already. 3. She is the SAME position as me, not my superior. She has just held a position at the company for longer. Though, even if it was a vacation for vacation thing, I would still have priority through our company's rules. Seniority get priority to a point. Low man on the totem pole can request days off, then it gets put on the calendar, everyone above them has a month to "override" those days. If it stands for a month with no objections, low man gets their vacation.

Some people, man. World just revolves around their friggin pregnancies ;)
Just tell her you asked your doctor to move your due date, but he couldn't because it would conflict with his vacation.
What a bitch.
Shouldn't you be having maternity leave then or something rather than it actually coming out of your holiday allowance?
If is was your boss that might make a difference...but a co worker shouldn't make a difference...you picked the date and nothing can change that...
You can't fix stupid, honey. Congratulations on your little bundle of joy.
Well, I don't understand why you have to take time off just to have a baby. Why can't you birth it in the office, and keep it in a desk drawer? It's people like you that keep me from getting a tan... Don't feel bad OP. This lady seems mean and stupid, so don't let her get you down. congrats on your baby!
Let her schedule her vacation, let her buy her plane tickets, book her hotel and do whatever she needs to do for her vacation. A week before her vacation come in with a note from a doctor saying you need to stay home until after your pregnancy. Take the medical leave and maternity leave and enjoy your baby.

Tell her to **** off. It's crazy how people have no respect for others.
It's kinda disheartening that this comes from a woman...
