Today, I met my cousin after two years. She got really tall and skinny, like a model. I joked saying, "You've grown and gotten slim, and I've stayed the same and have gotten fat." I expected some sort of disagreement. Instead, she looked me up and down, frowned, and gave me a long, sympathetic hug. FML

Today, my aunt said that it looked like I lost some weight. I was pleased with this, since I've been trying to lose some. My mom, for some reason, thought it was insulting. She pulled me to aside to assure me that I most definitely don't look any skinnier. FML

Today, I was at the gym and saw an old friend. I have put on a lot of muscle in the past few months, and she said to me "Wow, you've really gotten big." Just by habit I said "You too." Turns out she's gained 45 lbs since I'd last seen her. Oops. FML

Today, I took my girlfriend to meet my family for the first time. Everyone quickly pointed out how my girlfriend looks very much like my cousin. My girlfriend even agrees. That’s not what I was going off of when I first met her but now I’m having a hard time un-seeing it. FML

Today, my cousin asked me what it's like to be so fat. I chastised him and said that was a rude thing to ask. He apologized, then asked me what it's like to be such a pussy. He didn't stop until he, a 10 year-old kid, had reduced me, a 26 year-old woman, to tears. FML

Agree with #1... I hate it when girls do that, if you are fat don't expect people to be like "Nooo, you're super skinny blah blah blah"... It is just annoying...

At least she was nice and hugged you. She could have just said "yeah, so I see" or something like that. If she thinks you're fat, she would lie if she would say you're not. At least she's nice and honest!

I don't see how this is an FML, unless you're really unhappy as you are.., which it doesn't sound like you are as you were happy enough to joke about your weight. At least she gave you a hug instead of verbally agreeing, I think that was the nicest and most polite thing she could've done. Be grateful you have a caring cousin!
