Today, I missed my history exam because they'd changed the day. Apparently they sent out an email to let everyone know. Too bad I'd banned myself from the internet in order to study for the exam. FML

That takes some serious effort to go completely cold-turkey on the Internet. You should try breaking for 15 minutes for every hour studied. That way you can relax, and you can figure out where your test is at.

Ironically, history is replete with examples of people getting crushed trying to stand in the way of progress. You would have probably failed the test had you been informed of the new time. Were you expecting to be kept aware of what's going on by, say, ... carrier pigeon?

Always check you emails at least once a day.

YDI for being stupid enough to bann yourself from the internet.

This is like banning oxygen. You cannot halt a fixture to our daily lives and expect no punishment.

I can't figure out if you actually find your own post amusing or if you just wanted to type "HahaHaha". I'm hoping it's the latter.

any good student knows that many schools rely soley on internet for communication you should have been aware of this and also had enough self control to check your email for any alerts while avoiding time wasters such as FML

your gonna suck when you get a job. I hope I don't hirea

That happened to a couple I know after they had gotten married and the guy bought her a cheap replacement ring until he could by her a new one.

This comment is on the wrong FML. I can only guess that it is supposed to be on the one about the guy who lost the ring while jet skiing.

I don't quite understand this FML for various reason. For one, if you've been going to class, wouldn't there have been some sort of hint as to when the test is? Second, I'm assuming you meant that the test is scheduled for a past date, in which case it would explain the FML. If it's a later date, then no harm and more time to study right? And third, if you are taking an online class, then why in the world would you "ban" yourself from the internet knowing that teachers and so on are going to update the site with changes? I totally don't understand this FML. Seems confusing for too many reasons.

... what? How does it not make sense? It only doesn't make sense if you invent all those stupid details. Pretty simple really - the exam was set for a date, they changed the date to an earlier one, and OP did not know this because she banned herself from the net in order to study and thus never received the email. Makes perfect sense. Are you retarded or just not articulating some glaring flaw we've all missed?

wow ******* irony! try to do something good and get screwed over! sorry bout that...
