They shouldn't have let you do that. Everyone has too much adrenaline and excitement after a driving test pass so they shouldn't drive
When you pass your driving test I the UK you aren't allowed to drive home. Despite the obvious - adrenaline, excitement etc which makes you unfit to drive, you also won't be insured to drive your instructors car since you're no longer a learner. Stops shit like this, or should do
Where I'm from you get driven home by your instructor after the test. It's so you can settle down
