Technically, 19, OP is in jail. The key difference, however, is they get to leave at night. Oh and being able to drop the soap in the shower without getting poked is important too.

No where does it state that the friend was in the jail because she's being locked up. The friend could have just been there visiting an inmate. I don't see how this is an FML.
