Open them for her...it releases the stress you might be having with this situation...
At least you got gifts!
Let her be, it's Christmas! Be thankful that you have a mother thats alive to drink. There are others that are not as fortunate. Now if it's an ongoing thing then you should intervene. Merry Christmas!
Be thankful that their mother is a violent alcoholic?
Honestly I would rather have a dead mother than the violent alcoholic I have. When you're a child and worry if your mom is going to come home safe or if she gets in a fight with your dad or if your gonna eat because your mom and dad spent grocery money on booze rather than food is much worse than being lonely.
What mom really wants for Christmas is New Years Eve.
Both my mother and I were a bit seedy on Christmas morning, it was quite funny.
It ok life go on
My mom finished the two bottles of wine I got her before 5 today. I feel your struggle.
Thanks mom for ruining Christmas. AGAIN!
Ugly Betty moment!
Open presents later in the day? That's what we have done the past few years. Getting up early is overrated and opening presents after dark has a nice ambience.
Ummm no, getting up to open presents at 5am is crazy. I don't even get up for work that early.

Merry Christmas!
For Christmas you should give her aspirin, water, Alka Seltzer, and a bucket.
