Today, I received a full tuition scholarship to my ideal university in the mail. This would be perfect, except I sent an email to the college 2 days earlier, informing them that I couldn't attend because of financial concerns. FML

hi OP here again. cost of living is not included in the scholarship at all. no it is not more than the tuition of course but it is still sadly too much. for the field i am going into, i will end up getting a doctorate degree so going to a CC would not be a wise choice at all.

I agree with #1. Besides, even it is not related to your email, you can always contact them again to say you changed your mind due to the new happy situation. It's only 2 days.

Could this not be related to the email?

quick! call the university and explain that you still want the opening!!!

Call the university immediately. There's a good chance it's not too late.

Call them immediately. Time stamps on envelopes will help you especially if you get to the offices in time. Never too late, instantly accept it over the phone. You'll be fine.

Call the admissions office and tell them you weren't aware of the scholarship and would love to attend the school. Problem solved.

Call the school, and tell them that you would love to attend the school, and your financial problems have been resolved. Ask if you still have a spot. It is always good to talk to admissions.

"Call, Call, Call, Call, Call" If your University isn't right next door to your house, I'd be willing to bet that they sent out that letter the same day as you sent your email, if not before. My college is only 2 hours from my house and I'm pretty sure it takes 2 or 3 days to get a letter from them according to the date on the letter.

It's only been 2 days. You should be able to change that.

What are you waiting for? Call them and get it resolved!! You can always apply again if you need to!

Send a new email as a reply to the old one saying you've just been notified of a scholarship that will allow you to go. This way it's easier for them to keep track of your conversation, and there's a chance they're behind in email reading and haven't read the first email yet, so they'll know to ignore it.
