1: YDI for driving without proper insurance. Unless it was entirely your fault, and therefore not covered by insurance, in which case YDI for causing a major accident. 2: YDI for living in Canada and not knowing how to drive on ice, hopefully next time you'll know better.
In the US, if it is entirely your fault, the insurance pays for it. That is kind of the point of having insurance. I have liability, and though it wouldn't cover any damage to my vehicle, it would completely cover the other person's. The reason I have it is because if someone were to hit me, their insurance would have to pay for it. Ive never heard of someone's insurance not covering damages when the accident is the insured's fault.
Okay I'm assuming that insurance isn't like WAY different in Canada, so even though he has probably has insurance, it might be only liability... So those of you saying it's illegal to not have insurance or "ydi for not having insurance", there ya go. Also, OP, you're really going to complain about the scholarship money? Try not getting ANY scholarship money and having to pay for school AND the accident out of pocket... yeah, at least you aren't totally screwed like that.
um..even if they had only liability it would cover the other vehicles damage. That is the whole point of liability. It just would not cover OP's vehicle damage. The whole reason you have liability is in case an accident is your own fault. Full coverage covers both vehicles if it's the insureds fault.
Today, I found out I'm receiving free money, about equal to what I owe due to a car accident. MLIG!
transit and student loans its winter here and it sux not having my car
wow.
Have you seen Adventureland? It has quite the same story..
YDi for not having a proper college car, IE a car that costs less than a new television and that used to belong to your grandparents.
