Today, I T-boned a woman who pulled out of a parking lot right in front of me. According to her, the accident was my fault because she "didn't see" me. FML

Spike2013 tells us more.

Hey, OP here. I was on the road, the other driver was exiting the parking lot and pulled out directly in front of me. I hit the drivers side front fender and door on her car. I had no time to stop. Fortunately for her, I was well under the speed limit otherwise it would have been a lot worse. The police said she was 100% at fault because she didn't make sure it was safe to proceed.

Sounds like she needs to re learn the rules of the road..

OP depending on the time of day and weather conditions at the time she may be in the right. She may of pulled out not seeing your vehicle that should of had its lights on at the time. This is US law example but I can't see Canada not having this too.

usually its if you hit them on or in front of the driver door = their fault. behind that = your fault because you may be going 60 but surely you can stop fast enough if someone pulls out in front of you. ugh! Sorry I have a bit of road rage against stupid drivers. I hope she gets charged just because I can't stand people like that.

Don't worry about those drivers, most of them are almost legally blind, and don't give two ***** about anyone else

If that was me, I wouldn't have said anything and I would have let the police deal with her.

Well if she said she didn't see you, that's even more her fault because she was not paying atention

How is it your fault when you have the right away

She should go on Canada's worst driver lol

Last April I T-boned a gal that turned left in front of me. She thought it wasn't her fault, because she "thought she had enough time". Stupid drivers will ALWAYS find stupid excuses. Go to the doctor, even if you don't feel hurt. I felt fine immediately after the accident, but now I'm STILL receiving treatment on my back and neck.

In Texas, a t bone is automatically the persons fault who did the t boning.

Wow that is a stupid law. I t-boned someone and it was 100% his fault because he broke the law causing me to t-bone him.
