Today, I've been in Bali for 12 days. We have done nothing but sit around because my whole family is sick, and they won't let me do anything because it's supposed to be a "family vacation". FML

Who cares what they say. If you're old enough go do whatever you want. And if they get pissed then oh well. Just because they're sick and can't do anything doesn't mean you should be stuck not doing anything either.

SNEAK OUT for a few hours and go see the area. They can get mad at you when you're back with some awesome memories. I'd do anything right now to visit Bali, and you're already there!

What will happen is they will get better and then the OP will get sick. Since they are feeling better they will want to do stuff and the OP will be the bad guy for ruining the vacation for everybody.

Is it just me or is it weird that they're forfeiting their vacation just because they're sick? If I wasn't feeling well I'd still try and go out and do small things and at least try and enjoy it. At the very least, OP, they should let you enjoy such an exciting opportunity. FYL, they're a bit selfish.

Well if it's a one in a lifetime experience and you are older than 18, just leave. It's not like they will chase you down while sick and they can't really do anything about it.

You poor bastard. they drank water or brushed their their teeth with tap water huh? Got the Bali belly? Only use bottled water in Bali. Their water isn't filtered or treated enough yet. We just spent 10days there and dodged the Bali belly. good luck mate!
