I get the feeling your friend isn't actually confused, but is trying to *nicely* point out that your boyfriend IS nice, and you're just ungrateful. This isn't really an FML except for the part where the OP is confused and spoiled.

Instead of complaining about how he never does anything nice for YOU, maybe you could try doing something nice for HIM. People stop going out of their way to make others happen when they don't get any recognition or reciprocation. I guarantee that if you start making more of an effort, he will too. That is of course, unless you're just a spoiled brat who needs constant attention and grand gestures. In which case, get over yourself and appreciate he so much as sticks around.
