Today, I went to a store. I was wearing a shirt that I'd bought from the very same store, and was accused of stealing. When I tried explaining, the manager said I was lying because I'm a teenager and "all teenagers are full of shit." FML

Thanks for all the helpful comments! As to what happened next, security was called and we ended up looking at the camera footage which proved that I didn't steal the shirt. The manager was humiliated and apologized, but either way I am not going to be shopping from that store ever again.

Come back again with your receipt purchased?

What a presumptuous prick. What, is he bitter and jealous of the younger generation? Should've brought the receipt and humiliated him.

Apparently teens aren't the only ones who are full of shit.

Did they think you walked into the store topless?

Those are usually only affected by high value items. I doubt a t-shirt would set them off, even if it was stolen.

You should have told him to look at his security tapes

I hate adults that act like that. A few teenagers mess up and their all at fault

i'd sue them for judgmental and uncivil practice through prejudice discrimination through age. plus they probably have cameras which would show you didn't steal the shirt. i would sue, in today's society their is something here

I'd 1) put in a complaint because no one deserves to be told something derogatory 2) bring in either your receipt or insist that they check the video footage of you walking into the store and when you prove your innocence insist that they apologize. There was no need for them to be so rude

That is bs Op, tell the store manager to watch the video surveillance video of you walking in the store before making false accusations, and that you will be bringing your business somewhere else.
