You were at work the day of the big party and never once overheard any conversations at all about the event? No one mentioned anything about it in a conversation with you? YDI
Nothing said that OP was at work the day before. it may have been her day off, and she returned to work expecting the party that night. Especially in offices that run 7 days a week, it's often that people have their scheduled "weekend" during the week. big office parties are generally held on a Friday or Saturday night. if the OP was off on Friday but had to work Saturday, it would be reasonable for her to mix up the day and not be reminded.
Maybe you should pay more attention. Honestly? You deserve it.
