My first day on the job I dropped a spleen and two stomachs. Oopsy.
Five second rule? Just dust 'em off, they're fine... (Also, to the OP: that sort of thing is why I don't want to work as a waitress... I -know- I'm clumsy, and it's worse for about three days out of each month, if ya know what I mean)
I worked at a liquor store. As long as a bottle was broken but the neck and seal were still intact, the owner could get credit from the supplier. There's no reason why you should have to pay for it.
That's pretty shitty they made you pay for it, especially on your first day. I hope it gets better for you!
Lol at ops name
At the restaurant I used to work at, everyone yelled out "Job opening!" whenever someone dropped something.. ;)
Thank God you're not a surgeon, or something more critical. There's always more wine.
