OP: look into Wrecking Ball to get it off, it's painless (unlike laser removal), and I've heard good things about it.

Unless it's very dark or large, you don't need to laser it. Just WAIT until the baby is born, and go to a GOOD artist to get a cover-up. Make sure it's an artist that does a lot of cover-ups. They should have a separate portfolio for them, with before and after photos. A good cover-up doesn't look like a cover-up. This was a VERY stupid thing for you to agree to. NEVER get a name tattooed on you unless it's your child or the person is dead. Also, a good tattoo artist would never tattoo a pregnant woman - even where it is legal. You don't deserve the way he treated you, but it was YOUR choice to get that tattoo, so you deserve being stuck with it. Luckily, you don't have to be. Get a cover-up, and make him pay for that, too.

i hope this isnt true. i said ylf because thats HORRIBLE of him and ydi because its just REALLY DUMB to get a lover's name tattooed to you...especially someone you're not even married to
