Today, my dog was barking at a squirrel in the yard. I opened the door to let him chase the squirrel. I went to look at the dead squirrel and found out it was the neighbor's chihuahua. FML

Chihuahuas don't really look like squirrels. Giant demon rats, on the other hand...

Chihuahas can cost up to $2500 dollars, good luck douchebag. Why would you let the dog out to chase squirrels anyway?

Anyone who spends $2500 on any dog is an idiot. It's completely natural for most dog breeds to chase small rodents. Most dogs won't catch the rodent, it's good exercise for both animals, and often a game for both. My parents got a dog for the family when I was a kid. He spent a lot of time outside on the nice days and the squirrels loved to play with him and get him to chase them. He never caught a single squirrel but he enjoyed the game.

i fail to realize what yall are getting so pissed about. i think that many of you fail to realize that a dog is still an animal that still has natural instinct to kill and to protect its territory even if it is another dog. dogs dont have the same thought proccess as humans there for u shouldnt be pissed or cry if it kills a dog a bear a squirrel or a human. ITS A ANIMAL!!!!!

He opened the door so the dog would kill..if he hadn't opened the door there wouldn't have been a problem.

that's ****** up.You are a complete heartless jackass. Dumbasses like you shouldn't be allowed to have pets in the 1st place.

Chihuahuas ******* piss me off, especially when their owners don't even bother to lock them up. I've been chased by at least five in the past few weeks >.>

Encouraging your dog's prey drive when you know they have the desire to kill is 100% irresponsible and ignorant. You sent him out there with the intention of killing which IMO means you used your dog as a weapon. The dog isn't to blame for having a prey drive or a deranged owner though, he shouldn't be killed. He should be removed from his home and put into the care of a rescue who will work on his behavior, which has now become out of control. How are you going to feel when Animal Control shows up with a warrant for your dog, in order to destroy him, because of something YOU did?

Thank you! My thoughts exactly. OP should not have pets

wow the arguments people get into keep me entertained for hours, i am ussually more intrigued by the comments than the FML. It makes my day go faster. So thank you guys.

why would you let your dog kill a squirrel anyways?!
