Just imagine, how happy they will be, when you introduce them to your boyfriend some time.
Why?
I didn't mean to hit ydi. I was scrolling and it took the chance to hit the button. Sorry, eh.
At least that's better than them kicking you out because "they didn't raise you this way" or something like that.
Why is it an insult for them to consider op a lesbian? I don't see how this is an FML unless she thinks this is somehow inferior. Same goes for the comment about 'they'll be so happy to find out you're not'.
Hey, be happy. There are alot kids that love the same sex or are a sex and feel they should of been born different and their parents don't sit don't and come to accepting it. A lot of GOD lol comes into play, they get abused or worse disowned. Your family actually love even if they don't really know you.
Don't be quick to generalize people who believe in God. I'm a practicing Muslim and believe in God, but I'm secretary of a Gay Straight Alliance at my school. I think I'm bicurious, but not sure. People don't expect it from me since I'm traditional in many ways, but I always like to educate others on political correctness and answer their questions. One can follow God and still respect others' humanity.
Hey atleast u know they will love u no matter what.... But now u gotta let them catch u having sex in their bed to prove then wrong...
At least you have supportive parents that will support you no matter what. I am bisexual and my parents are anti-gay and would kill me if I told them.
I have a similar situation. I have only ever dated guys, but I am sometimes sexually attracted to women, as well. I'm confused a bit, I guess. Bicurious maybe? But my dad is super homophobic and offensive to the LGBT+ community. And how ironic is it that I'm the secretary of my school's GSA and they don't know.
I'm curious as to what led them to assume you were a lesbian?
That was nice of them, to let you know they love you and support you whatever your life choices. This happened to a best friend of mine too, whose parents assumed she was lesbian. Don't worry about it, just be yourself and know you're loved!

At least they're supportive
You better tell them lickety-split that you're not actually a lesbian.
