Today, our dishwasher door broke. My mom made me sit there for an hour straight, holding the door shut so it would work. FML

For se reason some was cut off. If I left it to get a chair or anything it would pop open and restart the whole cycle (30 min cycles) my mom went in the shower so she couldn't get me anything. Another thing is I was able to sit on the floor to use my phone (thank God). Finally, due to being anaphylactic to milk and eggs, I could not have wash the dishes (my family still eats them) Thanks for commenting and have a nice day everyone!

Why not put something heavy against it?

Another option is to use your hands to wash or buy a new washer. I would prefer to hold the washer for now.

You couldn't have just put a chair in front of the door?

tell a five year old they can do them. cheapest labor ever. jids love dishes :)

Why didn't she just put something heavy against the door or duck tape it shut? Well, at least the dishes are clean right?

man, i'd rather do them by hand, it'd take less time and i'd be sure there weren't any residue spots i'd have to wash off by hand anyways.

This is when I would stop it and take everything out and just wash it in the sink.

wow talk about first world problems lol. Just wash by hand

I think you could have been more creative than that. Our dryer door doesn't like staying shut but were super ghetto and duct taped it shut at first. Now we just put a chair in front of it.
