Hey, OP here, sorry I waited so long to reply to this but I didn't realise it got published! In the end, we left him behind and got my boyfriend's brother to drum for us. He's not out of the band though! I thought I could trust him.

Drummers are the most replaceable anyway. Unless he's your singer and/or songwriter; the your SOL.
What's your bands name?
And I thought drums were good to announce things "en fanfare"... That will teach both of us to question our assumptions...
Wait what band are you in? Anything well known?
Better find a really talented drummer who can learn your sets quickly.
your band's an up and comer who's been practicing all summer with a really dumb drummer Op, that's a bummer
*facepalm*
I'm sorry, my curiosity just wants to know what band and what you have to do to not be allowed in the US... >_>
You have an American tour booked, but your manager didn't check every members' status? Might want to pick up a new manager, along with the new drummer.
Actually, a lot of situations like this arise for touring bands, and it's not the manager's fault. There could be passport problems, and fixable things of that nature that are out of control of the manager. To blame it all on the manager is just ignorant.

That really sucks. FYL, OP. I hope he was only joking.
Don't worry. We have plenty of ugly drummers over here that can keep the beat and make you look attractive by comparison.
