Today, the guy I'm dating took me to a dinner party at a couple's house. Halfway through dinner, I realized they were having the dinner party for the sole purpose of introducing him to their recently single daughter. FML

do they know you're dating or do they just not like you?

That's a shame. Maybe he wasn't aware it was for the daughter?

Sounds like a setup for menage a trois!

I would like to hear how the night went! Awkward!

Congrats. you've met a man who values you and wants to have YOU by his side. maybe he took you to show them that he is not single? follow up?

He was probably trying to show them he already had a girlfriend but in keeping with the spirit of the FML comment section.....Break up with him.

thumbs up for the joke! way to keep the spirit of FML alive! lol

This is such an odd situation. Did your BF even know what kind of situation he would be walking into? If he's already dating you why in gods name would he agree to a dinner to be set up with someone else?! This is so shady! I'd dump him ASAP!

He probably didn't know it was a set up and if he did then maybe he went for the free food.

I feel like if he was really interested in being set up with the daughter he wouldn't have invited his girl along.

all these people saying "threesome" n shit.. LOL is that what your first thought would be in OPs situation? idk. just have a feeling that the majority of you saying it wouldn't want anything like that if it was you in that position with your significant other

Most of them probably don't have a chance in hell of having a significant other in the first place. So there's that.

I sure as hell wouldn't. Threesomes are just gross. I don't need sex that bad to where I want it from 2 people at once. My girlfriend will always suffice.

hahahaha ya you're very right lmao. especially with that kind of attitude. but good for you man. fr I respect that. I also agree tho...it's gross imo

I'm going with the benefit of the doubt that OP's boyfriend loves her very much and doesn't want anyone else. That being said, I'm wondering if this couple has been hounding him regardless of what his answer has been. If he knew about their intentions for this party, I'm inclined to believe that he took OP along, kind of making it a slap in the face to the others, to really get his message across. If none of what I was hypothesizing was true, and he did know their reason for the party and was "still looking" or whatever, then I hope OP dumps him.

Haa Wow sounds pretty awkward how did it end? Follow uppp

The hide of some people. I'm sorry OP.
