Today, while I was working customer support, a lady hung up on me mid-sentence, and I trailed off, saying, "…aaannnddd you hung up on me like a bitch." Turned out she was still on the line and had just accidentally hit mute. FML

YDI. Even after a customer hangs up, a lot of companies keep recording. Use the mute.....and don't do anything stupid at least until you see the phone actually end the call

Some people think OP was rude to have said that but OP didn't know she was still on the line plus that customer could've been really rude to OP first.

My avaya phone tells me I'm no longer on the call, or I get a minute/second timer if I am. Do learn which is which. I usually call out their name, give a closing, then hang up..... Then bitch once I'm sure they are gone and my recorder is off!

I submitted an FML just like this, except I work in political research, I said "like a douchebag," and I'm not in Australia. I worded it exactly like this, though. weird

I always muted my microphone on my headset when I was talking to rude/stupid people and I would vent about them. I was customer service for Redbox. Some customers were just way too stupid. My Canadian calls were usually super easy though.
