Today, while I was working customer support, a lady hung up on me mid-sentence, and I trailed off, saying, "…aaannnddd you hung up on me like a bitch." Turned out she was still on the line and had just accidentally hit mute. FML

By not acting like a professional (aka: politely asking if they are still there before hanging up. After the call is done you can say whatever you like. But only AFTER). Aaand this is why companies often record your support calls, "for training purposes."

We just had another employee cuss at a customer. And now we have someone that is in customer support do it? I mean it doesn't matter if they hung up on you or not... you don't do that until you are off the phone and away from the customers. It's common sense.

This reminds me of that Will and Grace episode where Rosario hangs up on Karen. And Karen was like "annnnd the bitch hung up on me" it was hilarious.

I hope that call wasn't monitored for quality assurance.

When I worked in a call center, the rule was always assume that there's a customer on the line, no matter what you don't hear. YDI
