So you’re old enough to spend 6 months abroad, but can’t get home without your parents? Let them sleep, and make your own arrangements, like a grownup.
I live aboard. Usually when I go home, my parents tell me that they'll pick me up. Doesn't matter what the time is. I'd imagine that the parents did the same thing.
Op did make arrangements.... With their parents. It's not op's fault the parents didn't show up when they were supposed to.
He likely had no vehicle. And taking a taxi two hours away would cost an arm and a leg. So would six months of long term airport parking to have a vehicle at the air port when he arrived. Get off his case. Not to much to ask his parents to pick him up. Most situs do the same thing if they could.
Uber or DIDI can help you
See if you can rent a car. Or if there is a bus...
The FML is not about op not knowing how to get home, but about op's parents apearantly not caring about seeing their child again after 6 months. I dont care how old or independent op is or should be. It is not too much to ask for your parents to be a bit exited to see you after such a long time. take care op, I hope they make you feel welcome once you get home!
You just woke her up! Poor you however it isn't a slight. Get over it. Laugh about it later.
