Shit, I would've been quite scared.
That should be your grandma's fml, not yours. I know it can be tough for the family, but remember that it is difficult for them too.
Actually for the most of it, they're perfectly happy. They can't fully understand the gravity of the illness in later stages and although they get frustrated sometimes, they're generally ok. My Grandpa told me that on one of his 'good days'.
I don't know if one grandpa is enough evidence to say how "they" feel. I worked at a nursing home and was told by resident after resident how terrible it is to lose your independence and to not be able to trust your own mind to the point that you think you're going crazy. I always wondered what they were like before; if they had been intelligent or dim-witted, outgoing or introspective, etc. Would've been interesting to see if their prior personalities affected how they dealt with senility but very few were okay with it.
I can only imagine what they go through. My mystery illness gives me bad brain fog and some days I can actually get that bad. I'll make jokes about it but it is so frustrating. To forget how to do simple tasks or what you were doing in the middle of doing it can be so frustrating. I'd hate to have to deal with it every day like some do and to the extent they deal with it.
That is going to be the next form of distracted driving to be outlawed. Driving while driving.
grandma's losing it, maybe some tests are in order!
She deserves a moving violation for DWND, driving while not driving.
Exactly why I think at a certain age you shouldn't be allowed to drive anymore...
Well ain't she just a bit forgetful

damn alzheimers
Maybe you shouldn't be driving with her. Take her home and give her some tea :)
