Today, I took my car into the shop to get a minor problem fixed. I left several hours later, without my car. Why? The mechanic crashed it while out on a test drive to make sure he'd fixed the problem. FML

Bright side: You get to buy a new car with all the money they will need to give you for your old one. I think by "crashed", you mean had sex with a hooker and killed her, then drove over a cliff, jumping out just in time, to dispose of the evidence.

Make sure to ask for depreciation value from the dealership and demand it to be repaired to it's original condition.

that's why I take my car to a friend of my dads who has a mechanic shop because he's trustworthy and doesn't drive my car like he stole it. good luck getting it fixed.

Wow you must have had a really nice car they wanted to play with! In a small way it could be a compliment?? But I'm curious what they said to the cops; because if they took it without your knowledge, couldn't you go back and say it was stolen? Basically do whatever you can to **** them over the way they did to you :)

you know you have to test drive it to make sure you actually did fix it, otherwise the customer will come back bitching about how it isnt fixed. The guys a jackass for wrecking it though
