My Dad spent most of his career as a repairman, and as a teen I often went with him as his helper… Your dog might be a “puppy” to you and a danger to others. The fact that it was growling and barking at the repairman and had to be behind an 8 foot fence says that your dog is not well trained. God help both of you had the dog gotten out and injured the repairman - He’d be injured and you would be liable… The fact that the dog was behind an 8 foot fence as you said implies your dog is not a little puppy and that this behavior is not abnormal for the animal. To be honest, I have a lot more sympathy for the repairman than the owner of a dog with this kind of problem.
This 250 lb 4 year old puppy that requires an eight foot fence and tries to attack every person who comes in the room sounds dangerous. Over exaggeration? Maybe. Why does a puppy need an 8-ft fence? Is this one of those fences that can be easily pushed out of the way by pretty much any animal? Did you go out of your way to protect the repairman or did you just start defending your animal when the repairman showed some concern? Doctor constantly attacking people and people are constantly refusing to take responsibility for their animals instead blaming the victim. How much training has your dog had? How much training have you had on how to train a dog? I want to be on your side but there are some unanswered questions.
Sorry that's supposed to say "dogs are constantly attacking..."
