Today, my sister came to stay with me in my apartment for the last few weeks of her difficult pregnancy. However she didn't tell me she was bringing her two dogs, her jackass of a husband, my bratty nephew, and an inflatable kiddie pool so she could have a natural water birth in my living room. FML

We've all heard of Bridezillas but I didn't know there were Birthzillas.

just remember, you said that it was ok. you kinda deserved this. still though, I am sorry for you.

I think some people here are missing the point. You don't take a kind gesture of support and shit all over it. If she's going to move her whole household into OP's house, why not just stay at home and OP can visit? Her sister is being inconsiderate and putting OP in a big imposition. I'd kick her ass out. Period.

The sister should have just asked OP to stay at her house for a while. I just don't understand why he would agree after realizing everyone in his sister's immediate family was coming.

Step one kill the husband, step two drown the child.

Hope her family will be chipping in to help pay for utilities that they will be using/food they eat... :/

Convince her that it wont be an actual natural birth unless it's outside, where the nature is lol

This sounds like the plot of a very funny movie. It should star Jim from The Office as the hapless brother, Amy Pohler as the sister, and Jim Carrey as the jerk husband. And let's throw in Jack Black.

If she's having a difficult pregnancy there is NO WAY she should be having a home birth! I seriously hope that kiddie pool was never used. Does she at least have a midwife who's going to be there?? If not and she continues to stay with you I would call an ambulance as soon as she goes into labor in case something goes wrong b/c it sounds like no one there is qualified to handle any kind of emergency or even everything that comes after the birth such as clamping the umbilical cord, cutting it safely, delivering the placenta, and more. This just SCREAMS unsafe!
