Sorry that happened to you. No matter how much you pay for ANY charger, 6 months is a better-than-average lifespan for a charger cord in my experience, except for my big honkin' Macbook charger, by some miracel. I always have extra chargers on hand due to this; perhaps it is "Planned obsolescence". So wasteful. I've paid about 20 bucks for a charger once, but it STILL conks out in 6 months. Ugh and double fooey.
The fact that it made it six months is impressive, but yes, there needs to be a better model.
