Today, my mother-in-law moved in because she has a hip problem. I don't know what's worse, her constant complaining and slob like tendencies, or the eight cats she brought along with her. FML

While I love cats, 8 is far too many for one household. Two is fine, three maybe if you have a big house, but beyond that it's crazy cat lady all the way.

Actually, come to think of it, where I live (according to the council) you can have two cats, three under certain conditions, and four and over you have to obtain a license/permit thing because you're officially a cattery :O

I have four cats. Two are elderly and one was rescued at about a week old. Naturally he needed a companion his age to play with so we adopted a brother. I hardly find having four cats crazy.

I vote for constant complaining. I've never experienced anything more mentally exhausting than living with someone who complains ALL the time about damn everything!
