I totally understand how you feel...I found out the guy that I am in love with thinks he is sorta gay and I actually think I would prefer him being gay than with another girl.

@6: It hurts to be on the other end, but sometimes some experimentation is needed before you know what your sexuality is. Why does that make him a douche? Maybe your ex was playing with your emotions (two years is an awfully long time to experiment with just one person), but the OP? I don't think that's necessarily true.

FYL, But this isn't something you can do much about execpt move on and accept it, live in denial of rht erest of your life. Either way, it's difficult for the ex, too, because as you can clearly see from some of the comments abouve, people aren't exactly kind to homosexuals and it'll be a difficult road for him.
