Today, my daughter is engaged to her soon-to-be fifth husband. She's 32 and refuses to believe she's the problem in relationships, and she wants me to pay for this wedding. FML

Usually a daughter gets one free wedding paid for by Mom and Dad. After that, she and the dude need to foot the bill.

Sounds like you need to sit down with her and tell he she's used up her Daddy ATM and she needs to pay for it herself.

Unless you live in America in which most people are poor or middle-class at best then you pay for your own wedding.

well you would be a dumbass if you were to pay for this one

Tell her no. Parents should help with the first wedding if they can, and if the person is fairly young (just my opinion). Second marriage...meh..maybe..but anything after that, nope. 32 is old enough to pay for her own crap. And if they can't afford an elaborate wedding, then they should do something cheaper.

I will pay for a JOP to marry you, but I will not pay for your wedding. Why do you think she is the problem?

Then tell her no. She’s 32 and going on her FIFTH marriage. It’s not your obligation to pay for ANYTHING at this point. No parent is obligated to pay for any marriage of their kids if we’re being honest. Kids today feel it’s an entitlement when it’s not.

If you don't want to pay, don't. did you pay for the other 4 weddings?

Did you pay for the other four? The first two I could maybe understand, but any more than that I'd expect her to pay for herself. And wow, 32 with five marriages? How long did each one last? Six months to a year, tops? And what kind of guys is she finding that would actually want to marry her given her track record? Something is fishy here, and I'm guessing it's your daughter... just as you assert. Stand your ground and don't give into her. Little Princess needs to grow up and learn that not everything is handed to you on a silver platter, especially five weddings.
