By yeueid - This FML is from back in 2016 but it's good stuff - Estonia

Today, I found out that whenever I text my boyfriend something cute, he texts his friends and asks what to say in his reply. Basically, I've been talking to his friends all the time. FML

Which means he is nervous as hell and wants to make sure he doesn't say something that will make you think he is weird etc

that's actually really cute. props to your boo

I help my best friend all the time with wording texts/emails because she doesn't feel she words them right. So don't worry OP he probably tells them how he feels about your text and has them help him word it correctly!

At least now you know he second guesses what to say to you because he cares and doesn't want to lose you.

women show their freinds guys texts but when a guy does it it's wrong?

It probably just for now. He wants to impress you, and might not have a whole lot of experience talking to girls. It's difficult enough to be understood it through speech, let alone through text where all of the clarifying nuances of tone, volume, pitch, pauses and speed are lost. He might have just figured out how to decode the vocal cues of flirting, and now he's lost all of that imput. The good news: Every time he consults his friends, he's learning. The longer you stay together, the less he'll need to double check with them. For now, save anything private for saying in person.

i would imagine that, although they are the words of his friends, he's the one who ended up choosing what to say to you.

Why the **** are you complaining about it? That means he wants to say the nicest thing he can so as to not upset you. You should thank him and his friends.

That's adorable. Poor guy is nervous. Maybe you're a bitch when he says the "wrong thing". If it bothers you just tell him. Although sharing conversations you've had are pretty normal. As long as he doesn't do the same with naughty photos. "Guys she sent me this: ( . )( . ) what do I say?"
