Today, I found out that there's nothing like having to chase a 100-something pound Bloodhound around the neighborhood when you're 8 months pregnant, with a 3 and 4 year-old in tow. Especially when she runs the other way at the sight of you coming. FML

I think you all are being horribly cruel. One, how can you say she deserves it for not using birth control? It's only three kids, I grew up in a three child household. It's NOT a lot. Second, I also had a dog that would escape out of the backyard (by climbing the fence) and run away when she saw you coming. More than likely the OP was chasing the dog to prevent her small children from freaking out and crying about the lost dog. Animals don't always come back when they get hungry, sometimes they DO get lost. While I don't agree with running while 8 months pregnant, what I see is a mother doing her best to keep the other children happy and protect the family pet from possibly getting run over.

Agreed. There's a saying about "never have more kids than you have arms". You clearly can't control two kids and the dog at the same time, how are you going to cope when the third one comes along?

what is wrong with having kids if you can afford them? It's none of your business, I think #48 and #51's parents hate them and tell them that they wish they were never born, so now they are bitter towards all parents. I do hate when people have more kids than they can afford, and then complain about how hard it is. It is not your "right" to have 6 kids if you can barely afford to live and you have to suck up all the governments resources. It's so sad seeing huge families where the kids are all wearing crappy clothes and are always struggling with money because the parents think they should be allowed to have as many kids as they want.

I just want to point out that OP is living in France - it is activly encouraged to have up to three children here. And she must be pretty rich if she's living in the Paris area and can afford to have a dog that size - most people (including me) live in smallish flats. So she's NOT sponging off the government, and she's perfectly within her rights to have that many children

Thank you! Haha, I know plenty of people with over two children. My cousin has 5, all under the age of 7...not one person in my family considers it a bad thing. We all love and adore them, yes even the last three! Haha. I would acctually prefer a large family one day.

@84 I consider myself lucky to have my brothers. I love my cousins (i have around forty-three). My grandparents have seven and ten siblings respectively. All of them, including my grandparents, have at least three children. Then those of that generation have at least two children. My family is large. I love it. You must be an 'only child family' for generations back. NEW FLASH! You don't speak for America.
