Immediate though of Cat Lady, that's why!
I actually thought OP was a male at first. Am I the only one?
I thought the OP was a guy at first too… but then I realised they didn't mention a gender. O,o
Sorry you got dogged out
dogs > cats #justsaying
#nothey'renot. Dogs=cats=birds=etc.
If it was his main issue, he should have just started with that question instead of wasting both of your time
what did you expect? you said you like cats better
They have standards. You can't fault someone for strictly adhering to those standards.
**** cats dogs are where it's at!
This reminds me of the stupid question tests girls in High School used to ask as if one question about one aspect of life can truly be indicative of how the relationship goes. The only purpose questions like that serve is to illustrate how shallow the person asking it is. When I was single, if a girl asked me a question like that, I'd ask, how will my answer affect this potential relationship. If the answer gives any indication of this being a deal breaker, then I don't answer and walk away while pointing out the shallow nature of the person who relies on this one tiny aspect of a person ignoring all the other wide spectrum of aspects of a person that could be great. Screw that, I'm out.

I guess being a crazy cat lady is in your future.
That was immature. I'm a cat person too, but I wouldn't instantly hate someone just because he liked dogs more.
