Dopamine rush

Today, I went to the casino and put $500 into a game and lost it all. I tried another $100 and won it all back, plus some. Instead of walking out ahead, I kept trying to hit bigger and ended up losing all my rent money. Rent is due and now I can’t pay it. FML

That’s why you only take what you can afford to lose to a casino. The house always wins. YDI

Pure truth. You got ahead and should have walked away. Hopefully you can figure things out.

casinos are not in the business of giving away money. from the lights and sounds all the way to the smells and positions of the slots machines and lack of clocks. they are designed to hit all the right things in the brain to keep you giving them money. never bring a credit card, don't go alone and don't bring more than you can afford to lose. if you are winning or losing alot early, get food and think about leaving.

I'll bet you're a compulsive gambler. Care to make it interesting? $500?

I'd heard the founders of the Dumbass Club had raised their membership fees, but I didn't expect they'd go this high.

You don't really expect sympathy do you?

You're an idiot. And you obviously have a gambling addiction. Rule number one of gambling, set an amount you can afford to lose, and stop once you've lost it. And if you can't stop, then don't start.

Rules for gambling, never gamble bill or needed money… only gamble excess money. Money that wont hurt if you lose it. Rookie mistake
