if you have mental health issues or are just a trainwreck, you are still responsible for how you treat others. if you are really that off the chain that it drove someone to drink, it's past time to sort yourself out
Nobody forced him to drink. He chose that. The best you can do is focus on being the best you you can be.
an addict will tell you anything they think will make you feel bad for them, especially if it makes you think it's your fault so you make them feel in the right. I lived with an addict family member and they did exactly that. everything was my fault because I told them to cut the shit or get out. Take the Win on this OP it isn't a situation you want to be dealing with.
