Today, in the middle of explaining over the phone to my crush how I felt about him, I got a text from his best friend, who was apparently with him at the time. It said, "He doesn't like you, get over it. Stop rambling." FML

Maybe his friend lied to you. Maybe he felt that this upcoming romance would lead to less gaming/punching/laughing-time with his friend and therefore, his unbearable jealousy made him decide to create this terrible lie, in which you are dumped and your broken heart will never search for the attention of his friend again. Or maybe his friend is a wussy and ordered him to deny you.

86, exactly! All girls, me being one so I know, are so shy and it's expected that guys ask us out. If it wasn't so uncommon. I'd probably ask someone out. But to me it seems odd.
